I watched this last year and loved it! SO clever how you made it so simple. Other how-to videos need all these special parts! I saved it this time! Thanks so much. I bought the s hooks at Amazon, I have one pole but its short so that'll be my first try! Im definitely making several of these this year!

Thanks! I wasn't keeping track of the number of lights. It was about 5 boxes of the regular lights and the tree in the video, It was a bigger roll and it had plenty of left over lights. I might be able to find that roll and see how many feet it was.

love it! My husband does this with a Big tree trunk from where lightening killed the top of the tree. It's really tall and beautiful. We also always pick up artificial trees that people put on the side of the road aftre Christmas every year. Put lights on them, and it's beautiful. We have a place to store them so it makes it very easy. We stake them down with the same stakes you were using. Makes for a Beautifully decorated yard. Thanks for showing how you did it. Love it.

Hello! I pounded these stakes in with a fence post pounder. The small stakes are about 2" diameter and the large stakes are about 1 1/2" diameter. I purchased the hooks online. You can space each strand as far or as close as you want. I did about 12" apart on the small trees and about 18" apart on the large trees. (nothing was exact). Hope this helps a little! Thanks!

hi where do you get poles like that and are there real tall ones in a concrete base or just dirt?
@anggru9768

I got them from Menards in the fencing section. The long poles were actually leftovers from taking part of the chain link fence down. The long poles were hammered into the ground using a fence post pounder. Thanks!

Do I need more than 60 feet of lights for a pole about 6 feet put of the ground?
@anggru9768
3 жыл бұрын
It just depends on how many 'runs' up and down you do. I think I averaged 18 ...so depending on how tall the tree is, lets say 6' you would probably need 7' of lights each run so 7'*18' = 126 feet of lights. You can do less runs or more.
