Don’t let the long video fool you - making your own reusable cloth wipes is easy. This beginner sewing tutorial will show you FOUR ways to make them, including a no-sew method. Trying to use less paper products? These wipes can replace face wipes, baby wipes, cleaning cloths, and more. We use them for cloth diapering because they can just be thrown in the wash with the rest of our cloth diapers. Do you have a bunch of extra receiving blankets laying around? You can cut those up instead of using flannel for even less waste and more savings!
At the end of the video, I’ll show you how to fold the cloth wipes so they pop up out of a dispenser and I’ll also show you how I make my cloth wipe spray solution. However, you don’t need a solution - plain water works just fine too! If you’re using these as face wipes, try using Micellar water.
(Are you starting a cloth wipe stash for your baby? The number you need depends on how often you will be washing your cloth diapers. If you’re washing every third day, start with a stash of 36. This gives you 12 for each day, then 12 for wash day.)
