This is honestly the best tasting fondant recipe too! I hate the taste of normal fondant, but used this on my sister's birthday cake and actually enjoyed eating the icing part for once!

add koolaid into the melted marshmellow to color and flavor the fondant (playduh) it gives if a great color and taste ..try it you'll love it..must be added to the melted marshmallows for the koolaid to dissolves..

I'm not from the states, but I've seen this made with flavour/smell by adding cool aid powder instead of food colouring. I don't know if that's available where you are but just another variation!

You can also freeze it. I have done that when I have big wedding orders to do in the future. So I make it ahead of time.

another idea to make edible play dough. just use any type of flavor icing/nutella and lots of powder sugar to get the right consistent of play dough. Mix it well and enjoy.

Unfortunately it would either melt in your hands or if you add too much powdered sugar it will seize up so it won't really work. Maybe just stick to this recipe guys :)

I love this recipe! I would use coconut oil to work the dough, thinking that the olive oil would somehow make the yummy treat taste like olive oil later. Just a thought though...

+SodaLimePrincess I would imagine you could add a few drops of a flavored extract or you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone and add a tiny tiny bit of water to a packet of kool-aid to make flavored food coloring drops :)
