Condensed Milk Chocolate Truffles:
Condensed Milk 240ml (1 Cup)
Cocoa Powder 100g (1 Cup)
Homemade Condensed Milk
(This recipe makes about 1 cup of condensed milk):
Milk 450g (2 Cups)
Sugar 150g (⅔ Cup)
Steps:
1. Homemade condensed milk: Add milk and sugar to the saucepan, stir until melt completely over medium-low heat; do not stir afterward; skim off the foam and milk skin; above 30-40 minutes later, when the milk is reduced to half, turn off the heat; let to cool a bit to warm. If you use store-bought condensed milk, just take 1 cup or 240ml, warm it up a bit in the microwave oven for 20 seconds and set it aside for the next step;
2. Sift the cocoa powder by 3 times into the condensed milk, stir until combined each time; add the chocolate onto a piece of plastic wrap; transfer to a square container; cover with one more piece of plastic wrap; press firm and flat; freeze for 3 hours;
3. Sift some cocoa powder on the board; put the frozen chocolate on it; cut the chocolate into cubs; round the cubes into balls;
4. Sift more cocoa powder on top and serve; store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
