Commercial inking daubers are great, yet you can make your own with recycled materials for free, and they provide unique options for edging and distressing in making junk journals, paper crafting, and rubber stamping projects. I've even used my hand-made daubers for some stenciling with good results.
Materials I use in the video: used dryer sheets, featherweight interfacing, fiberfill batting, fiber wadding from vitamin bottles, bubblewrap, rubber bands.
Other good materials: tie dauber with string or twine or embroidery floss, plastic wrap over fiberfill would also work.
Free, easy to make, and fun to use - what more can you ask.
