stumbled across this randomly watching vids on the hammer editor, saw the rain world gameplay and immediately knew it was a good tutorial

did you studied level design or it's pure talent? Your work is impressive and motivates me a lot when doing my custom maps since you don't explain it that complicated, indeed you show that it's hundreds time easier than we could think, I love your tutorials for hammer.

Thanks alot, though I have moved to source 2 because brushes are so annoying to use compared to meshes, I think this will still help, I hope one of your vids gets alot of views and attension LOL.

Hi, i have a question, do you use cubemaps in your maps? I mean they are pretty handy beacuse it reflects lights, props, skies, etc.

Hey man, i've been trying to import custom models into a little map I'm making, however I don't know how to make it so they don't have missing textures, could you perhaps cover that in your next video?

I'm not an expert so take this with a grain of salt. But you're going to want to make sure your model is fully ported to the source engine if it's not already. The easiest way to learn how to do that is to look up how to port custom models or custom player models into gmod (might not seem like it would be your answer, but it'll help you understand how to set it up because it's all basically the same process.) But to put it in short: For missing textures, make sure your materials are in the right place, that your vmt's are pointing to where they should be, etc. If it's not from the source engine, make sure that during your porting process that the .qc file and related files that make up the model are using the right material paths. Like I said, I'm no expert, but I hope this at least points you in the right direction!
