You are very welcome. And there's even a bonus with the washcloth. I hope you made your mom something beautiful ❤️

This is a granny my grandma taught me years ago. It has no spaces or gaps in it. You could continue adding rounds to make it as big as you like. Ch 4, sl st to beg ch to form ring or use MC/MR. 1st rnd: Ch 3 or stacked sc, (counts as dc here and throughout), 11 dc in ring. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch 3. 2nd rnd: Ch 3 or stacked sc, *[(2 dc, 1 tr) in next dc, (1 tr, 2 dc) in next dc] (corner), dc in next dc, repeat from twice, (2 dc, 1 tr) in next dc, (1 tr, 2 dc) in next dc, join with slip st in top of beginning ch-3. 3rd rnd: Ch 3 or stacked sc, dc in next 2 dc, *corner in next 2 tr, dc in next 5 dc, repeat from * twice, corner, dc in next 2 dc, join with slip st in top of beginning ch-3. 4th rnd: Ch 3 or stacked sc, dc in next 4 dc, *corner in next 2 tr, dc in next 9 dc, repeat from * twice, corner in next 2 tr, dc in next 4 dc, join with slip st in top of beginning ch-3. 5th rnd: Ch 3 or stacked sc, dc in each dc across to corner tr, *corner in next 2 tr, dc in each dc across to corner tr, repeat from * twice, corner in next 2 tr, dc in each remaining dc across, join with slip st in top of beginning ch-3. Maybe you can share. I was gonna make your bag with it as a crossbody and make triangles and a flap so that the top is flat.

OMG that sounds awesome. And it makes me so happy that you're trying to make my bag and alternate it to how you want it 👏👏👏 And thank you for the pattern. I will definitely check it out. I have some other projects to start/continue/finish (

@@totally_fiercedon't we all have a bunch of whips to complete haha. One suggestion for your granny squares too. When closing off a row instead of doing a chain and then a slip stitch try using a half double crochet in its place. It will align your loop up to allow you to place one granny cluster and continue on and works well with a stacked dc or as you call it "fake double crochet" . This also disguises the start even better. That is another trick my grandma taught me some time ago (maybe 35+ years ago). I have been a crocheter for a long time. I've just recently taught myself how to knit after many years of trying. I saw someone using a Russian style and it all made sense to me and I finally learned. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and disabled by the treatments. I have a lot more time on my hands. I attribute crochet to helping me relearn how to write and do other things. I have very bad neuropathy in my hands and feet; so much that I have no feeling in any of my outer extremities. KZitem has been an outlet watching all of the fiber artists display their works. Thanks for what you do!!

@@brandondolguinhaha the wips keep on coming 🤣 but tbh working with yarn is the best thing ever. It helps me through all the ups and downs of life, it's my favorite therapy for sure. I'm sorry to read what you're going through. We all have our bigger or smaller bags to carry. But I'm glad that you have your husband, your pups and something like crochet as support. Sending you some extra good vibes and holli sends some frenchie kissies 🤗
