How I made a set of floorboards for my brother's bike, the previous owner had switched them out with a set of foot pegs from a custom V-star. I think they turned out awesome.
12 years later and I gotta say damn these came out mint af.

Hi Bernbo I made a set of your DIY floorboards 2 years ago for my Yamaha 1980 XJ 650. I use them because of the arthritis in my ankles. As I said I made my floorboards to the pattern Bernbo made his and I have never had a problem with mine. They work real good and lots of people ask me where I bought them. I could not afford to buy floorboards but thanks to Bernbo I was able to make my own.

Thank you Kyle, that's awesome man. You know if I had to do it again I would do a more costume style floorboard instead of the stock one, If you see a set of trick boards just trace them out on a piece of cardboard it just takes a minute. Not to sure how I would post a template online. Cheers!

@LJSauterVideo lol, #1 plywood is what I had to work with, I think red oak would be an awesome choice though! #2 You could use any type of rubber matting, this was just a piece of matting I had kicking around. Try and find a rubber door matt or something like that. #3 If I could do it over, I would do a more custom floorboard shape, just google image "custom floorboards" and you will see what I mean, live and learn I guess, I hope this helps you out. It was a very fun project. Take it eass!

@Farmer2492 I was looking back at this video and seen your comment. My windshield is just under 28 inches high (at the longest points), 20 1/2 inches high from the hedlight to the top of the windshield), and it's 21 inches wide (22 inches if you follow the curve). It's only about 2 mm off the headlight. I din't notice any helmet buffering. Also, the studded seat came with the bike, as it's a silverado. Hope that's helpful.
