I cheat, I make up squirt bottle with a half a cup of canola oil and a stick of butter, melted, shake it up. This is really good for hash browns, fried eggs, fried mashed potato / salmon patties.

I all so pre-cook some onion green or white nicely chopped. Make up a salsberry stake with add pepper and salt to your minced meat and some of your shredded potato cook your meat patties on one side of the oiled and buttered pan and the hash Browns on the other side mix some gravy mix in a saucepan when the meat patties and hash browns are done set them to one side and fry a couple of eggs in the preheated pan. When the eggs are done place the hash browns on a plate with the patties and top with the eggs and sauce
