I would love a video on H. verticillata. So many different hoyas were reclassified as H. verticillata so does that mean they are all the same plant? It is so confusing to me because my H. verticillata (formally H. pallida) looks nothing like my H. verticillata (formally H. hellwigiana) or H. verticillata (formally H. acuta). When you explained the H. macrophylla being corrected to H. latifolia, that made sense to me, but H. verticillata makes my brain hurt. Thanks! ❤

Ong THIS. Why take twenty different plants and classify them as one? As if it weren't confusing enough. My pallida so boger looks nothing like my 15 other "verticillata", and that's just an example

So this is one that I'm still trying to figure out, but maybe you have some advice, how do you get hoya Caudata's leaves to undulate? Mine grow in nice and convex with a flat and round margin. Really wish I could figure this out!

Hi, thanks for this Q&A series! Could you please talk more about watering, you mention using rainwater... what is your rain collection method ( especially in winter )? Is it a pain? My plants spent last summer outside and I saw firsthand how they loved the rain. Now they are definitely not as happy indoors and although there are many factors, I'm wondering whether my tap water is one culprit (pH 9.5, TDS 120ppm). How did you decide to collect rainwater vs. adjusting pH etc.?

According to April of Unsolicited Plant Talks, the end of the tendrils will die back if it is pointing downwards. She talks about it on her KZitem video on how to trellis your Hoya. Merry Christmas to all!
@BasiePlants
2 жыл бұрын
I personally think there can be many reasons. I don't think vine pointing downwards can be considered a general truth, because there are many hoyas that grow just fine in the hanging baskets, and the vines go down, and later climb up. I personally think the more we manipulate them, higher the risk of damaging them. But also they can die back because of many other things :)
