Also St Petersburg and Stalingrad are two different cities. Stalingrad was the name of Volgograd between 1925 to 1961. Volgograd sits on the Volga river hence it's name. St Petersburg also too a Soviet leaders name being known as Leningrad from 1924-1991.

Holland is a region within the Netherlands. it s the largest, westerly and best known region containing the Kingdom of the Netherlands key cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Leiden. It is correct to say I live in Holland, if you live in that region just as it would be to say that you live in Wales rather than say Great Britain. Or saying I live in Bavaria instead of Germany, or Tuscany instead of Italy.

It's not Holland!! Take any map you like, you will not find such a country, it's The Netherlands !! (we don't call Mumbai - Bombay, New York - New Amsterdam, St. Petersburg - Stalingrad)
