Ingredients
200-300g pineapple
1/2 tsp mixture of fenugreek and fennel
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
3-5 shallots
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 green chili
2 tomatoes
1 sprig of curry leaves
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chili powder
red chili or cili padi, if required
water
1 1/2cup coconut milk
black pepper
cooking oil
salt
Method
Heat a pan with cooking oil and fry slightly the pineapple. Keep aside. Add fenugreek, fennel and mustard. Stir for for 30 seconds. Add shallots followed by ginger garlic paste. When no raw smells, add chili, curry leaves and tomato. Mix well. Add curry powder, chili powder, turmeric powder and chili powder. Cook till oil separates. Add water and let it boil. Add pineapple, tomato, chilies, black pepper, salt and coconut milk. Mix throughly and let it boil. Off the flame when the gravy thick slightly.
