Lahori Chicken is a delicious chicken curry recipe which is originated in Lahore. It is a popular street food in Lahore, and is usually served with Basmati Rice.
Ingredients:
(Serves 4)
- 1 Kg Chicken
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 4-5 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 3 Green Chillies(chopped)
- 1 Onion(paste)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 3 Tomatoes(chopped)
- 1/2 cup Curd(beaten)
- Salt
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Seed Powder
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves(chopped)
- Mint Leaves(chopped)
Method:
1. Add garlic paste over chicken, mix it and let it marinate for about an hour
2. Heat oil in a wok over a high flame, and fry marinated chicken for around 2-5 minutes
3. Add ginger paste, finely chopped green chillies to the wok, and saute it till the raw smell of ginger past goes off
4. Now, add onion paste to the wok and saute it for about 3-4 minutes
5. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chopped tomatoes
6. Saute it till the tomatoes becomes soft; add beaten curd and mix it
7. Now, turn the flame to low and saute it for few minutes
8. Add salt, garam masala powder, corinader seed powder; mix it and add water
9. Now, cover and cook the chicken for around 10 minutes
10. Add chopped coriander leaves, chopped mint leaves and serve it
