I video was great. I made these in some decorative silicone molds and they were perfect. They will make wonderful gifts for friends. I however have never liked the smell of cocoa butter at all so I wanted to ask what I can use instead because I would love to make some for myself. Thank you.

Thank you for this effort 🙏 How did u decide the % of essential oils in the formula?
@aromatherapyoils
Жыл бұрын
There are a few key factors that are necessary in determining the appropriate dilution of oils to use in a blend., such as the age of the person and the intention of the blend In general for adults, for supporting general health we suggest a 2% dilution, which is 1 oz (30 ml) of carrier is 10 to 12 drops. Do you know about our Introduction to Essential Oils course? It's FREE and it is a popular class at Aromahead that's great for building a solid foundation. This class may be perfect for you to learn more. Knowing which dilution is appropriate is one of the many great things you will learn. Here is a link where you can read more about this free class: www.aromahead.com/courses/introduction-essential-oils

what kind of the coconut oil is in this recipe? Is it fractionated coconut oil or the virgin coconut oil that is sold in supermarket?

Hi Wei! We prefer using pure, unrefined, organic, non deodorized (basically unaltered) coconut oil to get all the therapeutic benefits. You can find it in most grocery stores. 💜 We also love this one from Aromatics International: www.aromatics.com/products/coconut-oil

There are many wonderful options - you could go with earthy, floral or herbal aromas for relaxation. Deep earthy aromas: Vetiver and Patchouli, with Orange Floral aromas: Ylang Ylang, Palmarosa and Lavender Relaxing herbal aroma: Marjoram, with Lavender and Clary Sage Enjoy!

Will these bars melt in warm temperatures during the summer if not in an airconditioned environment? Would you reccomend refrigeration them between uses if yes?
@aromatherapyoils
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kortney! Thanks for reaching out with your question! In our experience the lotion bars do not need to be refrigerated and they are best left at room temperature of about 80 or below. Refrigeration makes them too hard.

Silly question. But would 5.5 g of beexwax be equivilent to 5.5 ml when it becomes liquid? Or is this not correlated?
@andya5929
4 жыл бұрын
Hi! It Is correlated but not 1 to 1, because the beewax density is diferent that water density. According the beewax density I found online, you have 0.961g per each ml, so for example, if you want to have 10 ml, you have to melt 9.61g.

@@aromatherapyoils wow! Thanks so much for the reply. Do you know where I could find the conversion of other solid or semi-solid carriers (such as shea butter, cocoa butter, etc.)? Do you provide that information somewhere?
@andya5929
4 жыл бұрын
Yes... Pretty much the same I wrote... 1/0.961 = 1.04. If you want to know the convertion for other solids,you have to google the density, for example, the shea butter density is 906 Kg/m3, this means that you need to melt 0.906 g to get 1ml, or from 1 gram of solid shea butter you will get 1.103 ml of liquid(1/0.960= 1.103)

@aromatherapyoils

Hi Sue! Essential oil substitutions always depend on the issue at hand, the intention of the blend, the person’s age, health, preferences… and so many other factors! For this particular blend, you could substitute Rosemary with Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia).
