Great vids. only thing i have to say about tutorials on plug ins are a tad pointless unless its super quick. best way to learn something new is to dive in head first & just imagine how much more you can learn and figure out instead of watch a tut. & going back and fourth. stay calm & produce on :) it is helpful tho to see a little video to help kickstart your brain and imaginative work flow. hope that didnt come off rude. i watch at least 100 tutorials a day even tho im fairly experienced producer in ableton. like they say.... learn something new every day! take care, xoxo - Taste Of BaSs -

While using a web app to determine possible scales for your current melodies or progressions may be a useful time saver for someone who is already comfortable with theory, demonstrating these tools as cheats for beginners creates a damaging handicap that does more harm than good for a new music student's education. It's like teaching the power rule for derivatives in calculus before explaining how to solve using algebra and limits, you're just creating a weak foundation that will compound later. If you want to learn how to effectively write lead melodies over chord progressions, I recommend Ben Levin's series. If you want to learn more about FL and music production, look up Seamlessr's content.
@LifeStyleDidIt
6 жыл бұрын
Dennis Galinski 90% of people aren’t trying to learn theory. I’m not here trying to teach it or speak on it. I’m showing producers how to get things in key. That’s all that matters. I know a bit of theory and never use it, I play by ear, always have. To say theory is bad? No. It’s amazing if you know the ins and outs, but even people who care to learn theory to advanced levels say that they don’t use it all the time because it hinders their creativity, they feel as if they only think about “rules” (you can read this about a lot of big composers) with that said, you don’t need theory to make beats haha. 98% of today’s producers don’t know it, if it sounds good, it’s fine.
