I'm originally from the U.S.-Hispanic Territory of Guam, Mariana Islands (in the middle of the Pacific Ocean), now live in New York City. I've been to Istanbul, also used to work in a Turkish Restaurant called Café 34 Istanbul (Orlando, Florida), and, consider Turkish people a very respectful, fun and beautiful people! ¡Saludos!

It's the same as tomato paste but made with peppers - you can get a mild or a hot version. If you have an international or Turkish supermarket where you live you can find it there, if not you can change it for chili powder or cayenne (not a whole tsp). Living in the UK (London) it's pretty easy to find though.

Hello, thank you so much for this video. It is made perfectly, easy to follow. My Turkish husband loves this çorbasi and so do all the people here who taste it. I don't use the pepper paste, just the tomato puree plus I add dried paprika spice shortly before I put water, carefully roast it a little. It works perfect, just a tip for the people who don't have pepper paste at home. Literally everybody loves it, thank you really.

You can buy it at Persian or Turkish stores if you have those. It's just a paste made of paprika. I had trouble finding it in the UK aswell, but I finally found it in a Persian food market.

Ramadan Mubarak. Thank you so much my friend. I have a few questions. Can this be prepared in a pressure cooker? Can you tell me how much flour to use your restaurant style recipe? I ask because I want to try and make a larger portion to help people break fast at our Masjid for about 20 or 30 people. Please pm me as well with the details on measurements of the ingredients for the larger portion. Wasalam, Emad-ud-deen.

Hello there :)) First of all thanks for commenting :) Second of all, to use 1 tbsp flour is enough for 4 portions and the remaining ingredients in the list. So you can increase the other ingredients by comparing these measurements. I hope this will help :))
