Thanks for this. Very informative. I find Microsoft apps are so difficult to use. Their UX is kinda outdated.

What about importing an existing excel or csv table. Date column on import is preset to date and time so when change column after the fact and make it date only then it messes up the original date

Thanks for this. I created a list and was able to add ~items (colleague files) to it and now when I try to add more, once I hit save I receive an error message "upload is invalid" Any idea how to fix this? My team is still able to edit/add items but I consistently receive the error message.

May be one of the column values is added as unique. Let’s say if you have already added something like “Product 1”, you will not be able to add product 1 again because of duplicate entry. Check the ‘More Settings’ section of all the columns. I might be wrong 😑

Do you know how I can see all tasks assigned to me from multiple lists?

Hi Katie - this is not possible at the moment. Hoping that Microsoft make "assigning" work across all of their products at sometime 🤞 _____ P.S. Thank you for this! Adding 30 days to the due date is causing my next generated task due date to be earlier and earlier, is there a solution to set the next tasks due date to the end of the month?
@MeeTime

I think end of month logic could be tricky but adding 30 days should work, maybe check the formula as I'm surprised it is getting earlier.

Gavin - can the notification email (about the 9:57 mark) that is sent be customized in any way? I would like to get a more informative email delivered to the project manager than just - 'Hey, this project was added'.
@MeeTime

Hi Keith - there is not much customisation you can do directly from Lists, you would have to jump out into PowerAutomate which is what I take a look at in this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xYudvJiZhqqXoKg (out tomorrow as I write this). Whilst it doesn't cover the use case you describe, hopefully it gives you a decent idea about how you could adjust the automation.

Is there a way to create a rule to post a due date reminder on a teams channel instead of an email reminder?

You can use teams channels mail id to send notifications to teams channel

Is there a way of showing a time in a list without a date? I want to create an agenda and keep repeating the date in the column?

Not out of the box - you would have to use a text column

Create a calculated column. Then use this as the formula: =TEXT([column name],"hh:mm AM/PM") Replace "column name" with the name of your column

Thank you for this video! Can we create notifications for new entries that are specific? For example, depending on the managers name that is entered on a form, an email will trigger to only that person so they know they have a new entry specifically for them.
@MeeTime
2 жыл бұрын
Yep, just enter the column that contains the managers name into the rule rather than a static email address.

Hello, I just created a SharePoint list with lookup columns, but when I try to use it in the mobile version, the look up column was not available - read only. Is there a way to make it work? Now I am creating drop down columns to replace the lookup column, but I need the correct formula or JSON code to obtain the auto populate that the lookup column was doing before. I have 34 different values that need to used and the calculated column is limited to only 7 IF statements. Any help will be greatly appreciate it
@MeeTime

I must admit I try not to use lookup columns as the list tends to grind to a halt when it gets larger, but this might be a legacy thing that is now fixed. Having tended to avoid them, it was interesting you mentioned they do not work on mobile - must be very frustrating, especially if trying dynamic content. Is there any way you can use Excel instead for your use case? Potentiall you might still have the same mobile issue
