thank you so much for this I'm 11 years old and my parents don't like me using the stove even doe my siblings could do that at my age. So I have to resort to microwaving everything and this has helped me out alot

It's amazing how dumb I feel sometimes after watching peoples cooking videos. I've been cooking potatoes for 30 years and never thought to simplify cooking them to this degree. Thanks for the new tip. I WILL try this one.

thank you for your comment. these last few months haven't been easy for anyone and after nearly 12 years of this, i was seriously thinking of stopping -- life is short. but i may start again when i can get groceries reliably...that plus i thought it would be disrespectful to be experimenting with food when so many have so little. but i think i may post a few of the ones i came up with during the shortages... thanks again. I will have to try this since I cannot use the stove top I mean I can use a stovetop but it has to be one I can plug it in and unplug like a electric you know those Bunsen burners they use for science projects at schools especially in high school those are the ones I am talking about that I can use propane is too confusing you going out turn it all off and sometimes it still runs but anyway I will have to try this thank you

These make 'premium' mashed potatoes, contrary to what people think would be for microwaved food. You don't loose flavor and good velvety starches to any boiling water!!

i'm glad u like my vids. the peeler is called a finger potato peeler if you search for that on amazon you will find it but retail like bed bath & beyond sells them too (and ya, it's my favorite, i wouldn't use another now unless i had to)

I like the skin so I just poke a few holes in them with a fork, do em for about 6 minutes or however long is needed and then mash them with said fork, add some cheese, microwave for one more minute, then add chilli sauce or aioli and some salt, can also add shredded ham, chicken or whatever you have on hand PS: skin is the most nutritious part of the potato!
