Yeah so need this during antique cash register projects so if mom comes my deep house lounge won't be as loud for her. The life of an antique cash register collector is great & now I can look for something similar to this I hope for it is awesome & know with my Sony portable cd player that has a bass sound function that it would bring the sound out more! Man wish you could sell these for I am in!

Do you think you can upgrade the speakers by being able to charge the batteries or getting the power from the computer? (they will not be portable anymore but that is fine i guess for better laptop sound if you are getting the power from the computer) Thanks

How can I find the amplifier on a speaker I'm taking apart? The Bluetooth part doesn't work so I'm trying to hook up a aux cord.

Great project, BUT you should never connect 2 batteries in parallel without making sure, that they have the same voltage, because one battery will charge another one with a very unhealthy amount of current.

Should sound cleaner, but you're cutting the input signal in half by dividing the signal into two and using two mono amps for right and left.

Guessing that the green wire is ground or negative and the yellow is left and white is right, you still have them in mono so switch the yellow to white and your white to yellow for stereo

The box he used and the speakers look like stuff you can buy at Dollarama. (Canada) maybe US too? You can still pick up a pair of tiny 2" speakers in little plastic boxes for $4. I use these to make Bluetooth speakers with little Sanwu 3 watt amps and a salvaged 18650 cell from a laptop battery pack for power. Works really well......guaranteed better sounding than this and huge battery life.
