Very interesting stuff. I have never been paid for any production work. Just years and years of volunteer church work. But if I wanted to get into some side money what would that look like. I think this would be an interesting video - how do I get from zero to say, 20-40 in this realm?

Hey man question for ya, ive started branching out into doing some freelance work (i currently work 20 hours a week at a theater, and another 20 at a church gig) and im trying to figure out how much i shoukd ask for for my day rate, i dont want to overcharge or undersell myself, im thinking of starting at 30 and trying to work my way up from there, i have some clients waiting to hear back so any prompt advice would be greatly appreciated!

Great content.... You are charging for your time but what about you charging for your gear ?

Thank you very much! I actually don't own any gear outside of a few tools and my measurement rig in my Pelican. All the gigs I'm hired for the client is either renting in a rig or the production company that's hired for the gig hires me to run their gear.
