Mozzarella Sticks
Are made from mozzarella cheese cut into long medium-thick sticks and breaded in flour, egg and seasoned bread crumbs. Then fry until crisp and golden brown in color, best serve in marinara sauce or ketchup. It’s a perfect appetizer and snacks that everyone will enjoy!

Mozzarella Sticks Recipe
Ingredients
227g (8oz) Mozzarella Cheese
¼ cup flour
2 cup bread crumbs
3 egg+ 2 tbsp water
½ tsp salt (or you also use seasonings, garlic or onion powder, dried herbs if available)
1 tsp ground black pepper
Cooking oil for deep frying
Ketchup or marinara sauce for dipping
Procedure
1. Cut mozzarella cheese in long medium-thick sticks. Set aside.
2. In a bowl mix together bread crumbs, ground black pepper and salt. In another bowl mix egg and 2 tablespoon of water.
3. Dredge mozzarella stick in flour and shake the excess. Cover in egg mixture and then coat with bread crumbs. Repeat the process (but skip the flour this time) cover in egg mixture again and coat with bread crumbs. You can repeat this process 2-3 times (depends on how thick you want it).
4. Put it in a plate and freeze for 2 to 6 hours or overnight before frying. (We need to freeze mozzarella sticks before we fry it so the coating will hold together and the mozzarella cheese won’t oozed out easily when we fry.)
5. Heat oil in medium heat and fry mozzarella sticks in batches (so it won’t stick together).
6. Turn it occasionally and fry until golden brown in color. Drain excess oil in paper towel.
7. Best serve hot! (You can just fry a few that you’ll going to eat and just freeze the other mozzarella sticks until you’re ready to fry and eat them).
8. Serve with ketchup or marinara sauce.
Yields: 16 pieces mozzarella sticks
