I know when I first listened to shoegaze it reminded me of the cure and I was like woah 😂

@@mysticedge4 yeah! a lot of cure, the more psychedelic wire songs, chameleons' dreamy atmosphere.. kitchens of distinction is a big one.

this was a very informative video, I personally would have added a bit more distortion to the guitars but that comes down to personal preference. thanks bro

Excellent content. Reminds me of Joy Division mixed with Slowdive, MBV. What software do you use for your editing? Also, what music theory do you find most applicable to producing Shoegaze?
@OLIVERZASLEEP
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. For video editing I use Adobe Premiere Pro and in terms of the music theory behind shoegaze I'm actually not too sure but I tried using chords with a lot of dissonance to create constant tension

@@OLIVERZASLEEP Great. Where do you get all your pedals, effects, etc for production?
@OLIVERZASLEEP
2 жыл бұрын
I don’t own any pedals currently but in terms of effects I try to use stock effects built into my DAW but other than that guitar rig 6 by native instruments is an amazing all in one effects solution
@marcusfiero3724

@@OLIVERZASLEEP Awesome. I own a PC and don’t know where to start with these effects. I am really looking for a 17 Seconds sort of electronic drum sound, and a very dull flat bass to go under the wall of sound.

When it comes to shoegaze, does one guitar deal with the ambient tone, and the other guitar other deal with fuzz / distortion or is it a blend of both?
