I was expecting this to be an April Fools' video but the only joke is how gorgeous all your cookware and kitchenware is. I am pretty shocked at how much raw onion there is in that salad! I suppose if you soak it in water it should take away most of the sharpness? Looked really pretty at the end though.

Japan has a certain type of onion that's sweet and can be eaten plain

@@Ru136 no it's just a normal onion don't make Japan sound like an another planet
Hi. Could you add ingredients list in English for all of your youtube cooking channel? I subscribed your cooking channel because of your cooking recipe. I can figure it out ingredients in Chinese characters but I am not sure about some Japanese characters. Thanks.
I'll be right over to try some! That looks delicious 😋 I have one tip for you. If you put cold milk into hot roux you won't get lumps. Keep up the great cooking!

I like your videos so much! Its pure inspiration!;)
Some of your dishes look really good, I don't like a lot of pork products but I would love to try scotch eggs !! I will never eat mushrooms, & I dont care for miso soup, have tried at Japanese restaurant, but didn't care for the taste in general. I love shrimp & lobster !!

Why would you put a powder mixture on the shrimp only to go and rinse it under water, anyway?
What types of meals are common to eat in the winter time in Japan? 6:22 -- That's interesting that you would weigh the butter TOGETHER with the saucepan on the scale. Technically, you aren't just weighing the butter but rather, both together. So, how do you know if you have the right amount of butter you intended to use? This whole recipe is fantastic. This is like what we in America would call comfort food. This particular recipe isn't something offered in most Japanese restaurants, right? When I visited Japan, I don't remember anything like this on any menu I remembered seeing. In other words this is something that someone living in Japan might, make and serve at home, right?

Trojanette83 because after she sets down the saucepan she resets it to zero before weighing the butter!

@@Kenzie-Soup.n.Squash Zeroing it out doesn't make the measurement for JUST the butter more accurate. It only makes more accurate the weight measurement of the pot, along with the saucepan!!.

I love everyone of her food videos. So inspiring and sensational that makes you want to go and get the ingredients to cook all the dishes by following her. Love her hopping board which is big and looks fantastic. Where did you buy your natural wood chopping board. Can you reply to let me know. Many thanks

I have always found bechamel sauce based gratins very very bland. What kind of "consome powder" was used. Also, the making of the sauce was unnecessarily fussy; you can easily add cold milk all at once as long as it is whisked. I have never had lumps.
