Could this been used for AAA 1.4V 1000mah batarry?
Please help me out If I want to charge 2(1.2nimh, 900mah) in series connection(means 2.4volt) then what should I do
@dancoulson6579
Жыл бұрын
Charging in series is not reccomended. However you could charge them in series at 10% of their AH rating. So if both of the cells have a 1AH rating, you charge them at 100mA. You need to be certain that both cells are of equal quality, size, capacity, voltage, age, etc first. If one cell is less charged than the other, it could cause issues with balance. Perhaps connecting a 1.4v zener in reverse accross each cell would protect from overvoltage situation. Current limiting is your friend here. You may have to accept a significantly slower charge speed to allow for safely charging in series.

0:30 couldnt u just use one 25 Ohm resistor?
@habbitronics_diy
Жыл бұрын
yes you can use 24 to 30 ohm resistor
@dancoulson6579
Жыл бұрын
4x100R resistors in parallel will indeed give a 25R resistance, so a single 25R resistor could be used. However, consider the power rating. These size resistors are typically rated 1/2W max power dissipation. So the four 100R resistors form a 25R resistor with a power rating of 2W. A single 25R 1.2W resistor might overheat. It would be good practice to use a 2W or higher rated power resistor.

Yes. Make sure both cells are within about 0.2v of each other, and then connect them in parallel to form a battery. You can now treat the battery as a single cell and charge as per the video.

What’s the output V of the charger?
@dancoulson6579
Жыл бұрын
Open circuit you'll get around 4.4v on the output. However when connected to the battery, it depends on how much current the battery is drawing. You could measure the voltage drop accross the resistors and diode when connected to get an exact figure.
