Hey Jay and thanks for the Great question. First off yes I do custom Baits rather Craws, Creature or Worms and trust me that's why I stay busy. Now to answer the other question a lot of people don't know this but it cost about $7.00 at the Post Office to Mail out 5 or 10 bags of baits so I take a hit. That's why they are priced at $6.10 a bag and if ya go to take2fishing.com and look in the top corner you will see a tab you can click on that has a drop down. Select the Products page and there you can find out how to get free shipping. Yes you can go to Wal-Mart and buy a bag of baits for $4.00 but not a custom color. If ya have InstaGram you should check me out there. I do a lot of Customs for a lot of people. Hope this helps and thanks for watching. PS I do a lot of FREE Baits on Insta Gram and cut a lot of deals there.👊

Hey, i‘am a big fan of your work. I startet with my own simple plastic baits. When you fill in the plastisol, what happens with the air in your form, is there a little borehole, where the air pressure can go away? Thank you for your help! Greats from Lars (Germany)
@take2fishing

Hey sorry for the delay. Each mold is equipped with vents these are normally small lines that travel towards the outer edge of the mold and that's how the air exits the mold. Hope this helps.
@take2fishing

I wanted to add something else. If your hand pouring you need to pour slow to reduce bubbles. In hand poured baits air will rise to escape. Sometimes it's best to always handle the mix carefully to reduce bubbles prior to pouring.

Stupid question why do you degas and how do you degas?
@take2fishing
4 жыл бұрын
Hey! That's a great question and not stupid at all. So to degas is basically pulling a Vacuum and by pulling a Vacuum you are pulling Air, Moister, Small Dirt Particles out of or off of an item. So basically like a Shop Vac but you pull such a strong Vacuum that it also can create a boiling. I do this to remove primarily Air. Small bubbles not only make baits look less attractive to your eyes but will effect the baits performance. If you look at my other videos you will see this in action. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

How much does basic stuff to make your own soft lures cost
@take2fishing
4 жыл бұрын
Hey Ryan and thanks for the great question. An Injector is the most important part of making Baits and you get what you pay for. I would not buy less than an 8 ounce injector which will cost around $70 to $90. Next is a starter kit which will have a selection of glitters and colorants of it and will run around $50. Next a Mold they can be bought used from Facebook and if they are new they could run between $40 and $300 but a fair price for me to say would be a person can get into bait making for around $200. And this would be a good fair price and hope this helps.
