i have tried a couple times to make these and this process is by far the best one. Perfect bath fizzies every time! I am making these for my daughter's gender reveal. Thank you!

Polysorbate 80 helps any oil or powder colorant mix into the bathtub water! You can add it if you like. Using less coconut oil will really help! You can also add .1 oz. of Polysorbate 80 per cup of fizzy mixture. I see that I am very late to this post, but just a question, if I am just doing this for a gender reveal and not for an actual bath, do I need this particular coloring, or can I just use food coloring and get the same results?

You can, but typically food coloring is mixed with water which can set off the fizzing reaction in your bath bombs early.

+just some awesome girls We recommend using La Bomb Colorants for this recipe! Food coloring is often mixed with water, which can cause the bath bombs to fizz prematurely. Can you/do you use the liquid silicone in the plastic bath bomb molds as well? Do the plastic bath bomb molds work as well as the stainless steel ones? Any insight is appreciated - I want to know what the best item will be for me before I buy anything. :)

You can definitely use cyclomethicone in the plastic molds as well! Those molds work nicely, and double as packaging. I love to use them. =) Keep in mind they are a bit smaller than the stainless steel molds. They hold 3.8 ounces, while the stainless steel molds hold about 7.5 ounces. +Marie-Christine Vallières I bought these molds recently and I don't use anything in the mold, and I haven't have a problem yet:) If it feels like it sticks a bit I just use the back of a spoon to lightly tap the mold to loosen it. Hope that helps!

+Niq Ruc If you don't have witch hazel on hand, you can use an oil like avocado or sweet almond oil. That helps moisten the fizzies, and adds skin-loving properties to your recipe. i know ur very busy and thank u so much for answering . but it felt dry . it did fizz as i poured in the Witch hazel.
