Mpotompoto is a popular local Ghanaian food which is mainly prepared with yam, cocoyam or potatoes.
It is also called Nuhu, Nyoma, Yam / Cocoyam porridge, Mpihu or Cocoyam pottage.
Ingredients
Cocoyam ( peel off the skin, clean with water and cut into preferred size)
Tomatoes
Onion
Pepper
fish powder
cloves of Garlic
Ginger
Dried herrings
Smoked mackerel
1 tin mackerel in Tomato sauce
Palm oil
Koobi
water ( to cook)
measurements should be to your taste
