In this video, I talked about how I made this Logitech G27 gaming wheel stand using discounted wood from Home Depot.
I know for a sim racing rig there are a lot of choices out there. And some of them that are built using PVC pipes are as good as arcade seats. But they also take up a lot of room.
I choose to take a minimalist approach because I want to be able to use it on both the PS3 and PC. For the PC I already have my set up and having a full cage with racing seat doesn't really work well with it.
With this, the base board can just go under the PC desk, adjust the height and I'd be good to go. The only thing that will take up room is the top with the wheel and stick. I've seen some people's PC setup and I think this will work well for them as well.
It's cheap. It's strong. It's height adjustable. It's portable. It's just the best!
