Wifey heard Coconut and it was all over from there. She loves the stuff. Just waiting for my citrus juicer to come in so I can do this drink justice by using fresh instead of squeezie citrus!

I think your wife want some coconut margaritas. Definitely go for the fresh juice. That's what I use for every video.

Looks a little on the sweet side. I might skim down to half an ounce of agave and skip the orange liqueur

I spy with my little eye something green in front of the Hennessy 😉 Hmm sounds delicious. Did you use a sweet coconut 🥥 cream or the cooking style?
@boozeontherocks

I use a Taiwanese Coconut cream. It's a little less sweet and it works really well with most cocktails.

Great cocktai! Have you tried it with Grand Marinier or P/F dry curacao?
@trevorrose1
4 жыл бұрын
@@itsallaboutthecocktail I haven't tried it with either, im not a big gran Marnier fan and Dry Curacao is insanely expensive here in Canada, Cointreau is a little pricey, so you can imagine Dry Curacao

Why is the glass not rimmed?
@boozeontherocks
4 жыл бұрын
I used the recipe from Trevor one of my subscribers. His recipe did not call for rimming the glass. So I followed that directly.
@trevorrose1
4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't suggest rimming this with salt, you could rim with cocnut if you really needed a rimmer, however, there's so much going on in this drink flavourwise, agave, lime, tequila, coconut. It doesn't need it.

Great job, Dave. The fronds in the drink look really good. I have 2 squeeze bottles of Coco Lopez but people think the fat content is too high. I'm going to make my own very soon, but need homemade orgeat & falernum 1st. I saw an earlier comment about your flannel. Is that your summer flannel?
@boozeontherocks

Yes summer flannel. Winter flannel. Its all about the lumber jack style. I don't use the Coco Lopez as I would need to special order it.
