You just struck a nerve with me Scott. I am not a big fish eater but I actually wear a redfish charm on my necklace. I loved catching them when I lived up in Palm Coast, Fl. It is one of the few fish that I really enjoy. Especially blackened.

Wow, that's a fork drop if I've ever seen one! This is a good one for the Mini Max and camping! Just a question. Did you have the lower vent closed since you were open grilling? It looked like it but I couldn't tell for sure. I finally bought the Blazaball and love it so much better for starting my egg up. Thank you for the great recipe and video!

Hey Carolyn. First, I want you to know how much I appreciate your constant support, it is noticed and it means a lot. Second- yes, once I had the heat where I want it, I do close that vent. If I need more heat, Simply open it back up fpr a bit. Use it as a temperature dial.

I don't usually and openly support many products but I believe FOGO products are exceptional and feel like they put a lot of thought into what they sell - like the Blazaball - so much easier. The charcoal briquettes are absolutely the best. I like the Easy Button sometimes.

A great point to remember, if you do not harvest your own scallops, is to buy DRY scallops and not WET scallops. WET scallops have chemicals in them that need to stay the shell out of your body🐾🦊🐺

Our briquets are way different than your traditional briquettes. Ours are all natural and are made from coconut husks and use all natural binders. They burn incredibly steady but the big thing is ta they produce far less ash than other briquettes.

Hey Captain, I really love your videos. I just picked up my first Big Green Egg XL 2-days ago, and I probably watched 100 hours of your videos before making the final decision to purchase the Egg. Yesterday I did the 250 degree initial burn, and today Amazon delivered the Fogo starter, and tomorrow the Kick Ash basket is being delivered. I'm going to make this for my wife on Mother's day. Like you, my mom is watching from above and yeah she would have loved this recipe as well! Keep up the good work!!

I just purchased a large BGE after watching many of your videos. The smoke taste was really strong using the BGE charcoal. Is the FOGO charcoal milder? I’m looking forward to continuing to learn! Thanks for the videos.

FOGO is definitely known for being one of the more mild charcoals out there. Make sure you are letting it burn long enough so that you aren't cooking with white smoke. White smoke bad.

Scallops are the only shell fish I eat, and this recipe looks so good! Also, since I watched your video a few months ago where you showed the correct way to use a can opener, I have been telling as many paople as I can. And now this with the lemon juicer? Trudeau has declared them to be a type of weapon. They cannot be imported. If you already own one, it can never be transferred to another person. Eventually, the RCMP will come to your home to confiscate it, at which time it will be destroyed.
