This circuit is _technically_ an inverter, but it's a really bad one. This is not generating a 50/60Hz signal like normal mains power, it's generating a very high frequency output at I'd guess probably somewhere around half the correct voltage, which could potentially damage lots of things if you actually tried to plug it into any real equipment. It also won't be able to provide very much power (that LED bulb is probably the most it can realistically actually power, and there's no guarantee it won't fry that too if you run it for long enough).

Thanks for your comment I did notice that it wasn't reading the 220v that other you tubes said.

@@yourworkshopmate372 Actually, to be honest, what voltage you'll get will likely depend hugely on the properties of the specific transformer you happen to find, and what frequency it happens to end up running at (which also depends on the transformer), and these can be completely different depending on what adapter you pull it from. This sort of circuit could even potentially produce voltages significantly _higher_ than 220V in some cases, because the whole thing is completely unregulated and just free-running...
