Traditional Lithuanian cake Tinginys (Laziness)
Ingredients:
1 kg of simple cookies
200 g of butter
400 ml of milk
1 can of sweeted condensed milk (you can use sugar instead of it)
Cacao powder (it depends on intensity of brown color you want and on the sweetness of cake)
Also you can decorate with small pieces of coconut and other decorative stuff, add some nuts.
Preparation:
Break the cookies in small pieces. Melt butter with a little bit of milk. Mix time by time. Add sweeted condensed milk. Do not forget to mix it! Put the milk. While mixing, add cacao. If the sauce is too sweet, add more cacao. If sauce is too thick or it is not enough for cookies, put more milk. When the sauce starts to boil, remove it from the heat. Mix sauce with cookies. Cookies should absorb the sauce. Put in to the shape as you want: roll it, make a square etc. Leave in the fridge for the night. Or if you are in hurry, put in the freezing part for few hours.
