In todays video, I’ll show you how incredibly simple it is to make a gourmet rose floral honey from the comfort of home using only two ingredients: wild roses and honey!
This wild rose honey is so simple to make and tastes so divine ~ I know you’re going to want to make it!
Our family makes it every year because it is such a treat during the longer winter months when there are no longer any blooms or colour in sight and we are missing the beauty and flavours of summer.
In Northern Alberta, in the Peace River Region (which is a zone2b), our wild roses start blooming around the Summer Solstice (the third week in June) and they’ll continue to bloom for a few weeks. It’s a short harvesting window so don’t miss your opportunity!
Upon watching the video, if you feel inspired to get out and harvest wild roses, remember to harvest responsibly ~ there are some tips in the video to do just that.
Also remember to harvest from areas that are not ridden with pollution ~ stay away from busy roads and only visit areas you know are free from pesticides.
Enjoy this heavenly, heart-healing remedy in special baking, teas, on a slice of warm buttered toast, or straight from the spoon!
Sending gratitude & green blessings,
The Green Goddess
