Great tips on sealing prior to blackout. I usually use a couple applications of 1 lb cut shellac for sealing but need to try my solarez instead. I like to blacken with acrylic paint, have not tried the dry powder paint? Just finished that bowl with black epoxy putty and your gold flakes as a rim filler. Worked out pretty well. I guess some hot water would make the solarez less viscous for pouring in the narrow groove? Always learn something Scott, thanks and cheers from balmy MT.

the grain sealer is better for this process. CA works too. send a picture of the black & gold bowl if you can. love to see it.
