In this video, I show you how to make a cup turner from start to finish. Be warned, it is a long (over 40 minutes long), but I wanted to include the entire process, including my errors:) Here is what I used to make one turner, which cost me less than $20 since I already had the wood on hand.
Required for One Tumbler/Cup Turner Per My Build
1 x 6 x 22 - Piece of Wood
1 x 6 x 6 - 2 Pieces of Wood
6 Wood Screws (I used 1 ½ inch wood screws)
Motor and Coupling Kit (I purchased mine from Amazon)
2 Small Screws to Mount the Motor to the Wood
4 Millimeter Screw (I used 5/16 inch)
Lamp Cord Kit (I purchased mine from Home Depot)
Small Wire Nuts (2)
7 inch piece of ½ inch PVC Pipe
3 ¾ inch piece of ½ inch PVC Pipe
PVC Cap for ½ inch PVC Pipe
Male Adapter for ½ inch PVC Pipe
Female Adapter for ½ inch PVC Pipe
PVC Glue
Foam Football (I purchased it from the Dollar Tree Store)
Tools I Used
Miter Saw (or ask the store to cut your wood pieces)
Drill Press (a hand drill would work in place of this)
Hand Drill
Drill Bits (5/8, 7/8, 1/8, 5/32 inch bits) (I also used a torx bit for my wood screws)
Wire Strippers/Cutters
Speed Square
Screw Driver
Hack Saw
Tape Measure
Safety Glasses
Pencil
