Now you can make a DIY cement Easter Island head at home with your own mold. It requires plaster of pairs which is much cheaper than silicone.
The mold is pretty strong and relatively light weight due to the way its constructed but it will need 2 or 3 days to dry out in the sun or it will stay heavy due to water retention in such thick plaster.
This particular head is going in a garden where it could be damaged, so I made it of nearly solid cement, however to make life easier and if the statue is going to be placed somewhere more suitable you could fill it with "styrofoam concrete" which would make it significantly lighter. Which I will demonstrate on upcoming videos
