Personally, I always force the firewall to be on. I've found that a lot of people don't understand how to use it correctly and don't know how to identify what ports applications use, so they just turn it off, allowing everything. Realistically, I don't think it provides much extra protection, as networks generally already have a perimeter firewall blocking external threats. I try to have multiple layers of protection for the network and devices rather than relying on a single, powerful solution on the perimeter. I think the best way to think about this is as an additional layer of defense. Thanks for watching, Matt.
