I normally eat 1200-1300 calories but I’m supposed to be eating about 1800 calories. Rn I’m trying to eat 1600 calories but I feel like I’m not losing weight

You can have variety or fluctuations in your daily calorie intake, if you choose so. Whether you are trying to lose or maintain weight, as long as you don't max out your weekly caloric intake, you will be fine. Just plan ahead and track, some days you may eat more or less. Remember weekly caloric intake not daily.

very true; I mainly recommend keeping it the same for beginners / people struggling to lose weight due to consistency. Keeping it the same every day will help most be more consistent since its less work/planning to do

How would you go about tracking calories in a meal that is made in bulk? For example, I make a quinoa salad that has veggies and beans in it. How would I calculate how much fat is from the oil, veggies etc...? I'm just struggling with this because I usually don't make just grilled chicken and rice which is easy to calculate. All my food is cooked as meals in large quantities.

divide all the ingredients by the number of servings you are having. so If you used 12g oil lets say and are having 3 servings of the salad, you would track that as 4g of oil per meal

I’m trying to body recomp, but building muscle and staying the same weight. Should I be eating at maintenance Cals and high protein if I’m training 5 days a week. On my rest days do I also stick to maintaince?

I need to loose like 30 pounds, I honestly dont feel like I go over 1800 right now as it is, I find watching these videos very funny, because it seems like so much food, and I feel like I never eat that much in a day. But that is what they said I need to eat per day to loose that much weight...I dont usually eat breakfast or even lunch so I pretty much get all my calories at dinner. lol

This is very helpful. My caloric deficit right now is 1400 is that too low? I prioritize proteins like crazy more protein throughout the day than anything! I also workout first thing in the morning just what fits best with my schedule!! I’m looking to lose the small amount of fat I have and build muscle, I’ve been doing this for two months now and I haven’t seen much change slowly but surely. My biggest downfall is, even though I plan my meals and eat the protein I need! I rarely make my calorie goals, I reach about 1200 if that’s day. Any tips???

My main foods I’m eating consist of Greek yogurt, eggs, salmon, chicken, tuna! And then for fats I usually stick to pecans or cream cheese but in small amounts And then carbs is really just whole grain bread / rice

Sorry for leaving my million comments lol this is my last! But my maintenance calories is 2,000, I subtract 500 from that for calorie deficit, leaves me at 1500 and that is a hard time for me to get al of those in! Im not sure what to eat that’s my biggest flaw

Do you recommend to plan your whole week ahead before shopping??? (Making seven different meal plans with all the calories and grams and stuff). Do you think it could be a little bit maybe boring to know what you will eat the next seven days???

you dont have to do it before shopping but it will help you a lot to plan it before the week starts so that you don't have to stress every day about how you will hit your macros :)

yes of course! an easy way to switch it up would be to try different seasonings/marinades/toppings and also the method of cooking (grilling, slow cooker, air fry etc) that can easily give you a different flavor while using the same foods!
