you have to have two duplicate tracks of whatever you want to automate. The first one you gotta record over and slowly raise the cutoff/highcut knob. Then after you do it all of the notes should be deleted so you have to paste the notes from the duplicate track into the first one. Let me know if I didn’t explain it well lol

See sounds pretty jazzy. I’d remove the 7ths and 9ths definitely the 9ths maybe a 7th here and there. Melodic dubstep just uses mostly basic chords but spread out using functional harmony. Still a badass tune killer job.

Yeah you can’t just do a bunch of 7ths and 9ths. The bases of every chord is the root and 5th called a power chord unless you’re using diminished chords.
