Start studying from the day you learn the content, not the day you learn about your test & you’ll be G. For the content that’s only taught 2 days before the test, just repeatedly smash them before the test (only two boxes- right&wrong, maybe revisit the right deck once every day or few hours and the wrong deck several times a day) then once the test is over you can put it into an SRS like this for final exams

Just so you know that I go to school at 5, and stay for like 10-12 hours, learned 18 different subjects, and have 2-4 meetings/week for each subjects. We move onto the next chapter every 3-4 Meetings. Usually I had like 4-8 Chapters but some of it even reaches 10-12. The first thing that came up to my mind with this method is no other than depression. I don't think I'll be able to memorize 18 different materials in less than 2 weeks. I'm not aiming for A+, I'm aiming for sanity. When you care too much about something, then your life's going to be binded by it. When it falls, you felt like your life ended.. The same reason ppl went suicide after depression

@Kusuriuri-San0007

Or use spaced repetition, It actually improved my memory
@Animefan-vy8vy
6 ай бұрын
@@Kusuriuri-San0007whats that?
@Redfork2000
2 ай бұрын
@@Animefan-vy8vy As the name implies, spaced repetition involves repeatedly testing yourself to remember information at spaced intervals. So for example with a flashcard, you test yourself with it with more spaced out intervals. So for example instead of testing yourself with a flashcard repeatedly over a 5 minute period of time, you test yourself with it say, once a day, like the video suggests. This way you achieve something called the "spaced effect", which basically means that it's easier to get information into your long-term memory by repeatedly testing the information over more spaced out sessions than trying to cram it all in one go. With spaced repetition what you want to do is something similar to what this video suggests. New or more difficult information gets repeated more often, while older and easier information gets repeated less often. That's why when you get the flashcard right you move it to the next box, it shows you remember the information and thus can review it less often, while flashcards you get wrong get moved a box back as it shows you don't remember the information well and thus you need to practice it more. I first learned about spaced repetition when I was studying French on a site that implemented this technique. While you were studying a certain lesson, you would occasionally be tested on something that was taught in a previous lesson, to see if you still remember it. If you get it right, you'll be tested on that particular information less often, but if you got it wrong, you would be tested on that information again much sooner. This way not only you can get the spaced effect by recalling the information over spaced intervals, but you can also make the most out of the time you spend studying by focusing more time on the information you struggle the most with.
@opmules2574

So essentially use Anki? Flash cards are great when you have a set made, but going through the process of making them and refining what type of question you want to review is a bit hard and very time consuming. Also remember flash cards are great for rogue memorization, but they will not teach you understanding of the material, I made that mistake with organic chemistry.

Here’s another idea: write all the terms down in a piece of paper. Be sure to leave enough room for yourself to write every term/definition Now take 5 or more copies of the piece of paper, depending on how much practice you want. Every time you get something wrong, write the term and the correct answer at least 5 times so it gets registered in your mind Now go back and do the 2nd sheet, see how many you get right. Repeat until all terms are mastered. I find this a lot easier and a lot faster :)) hope this helps… good luck on your exams

@@Uziel175 Thanks. Personally, I would never use it, but not because I keep track of everything... As a matter of fact, I lose track of everything quite well. I'd never be active enough to actually set a system like that up XD

When I studied for the theory driving exam, the App used the same method as this and this helped me a lot. And for anyone who has too less time left for their exam then just divide all the box days numbers by a certain and same factor even if this means that you have to learn box one a couple of times per day

Don't worry if you forget stuff, most of that isn't going to be useful anyway, even people without adhd forget most of the stuff learnt at school just because they never used it, that's how the brain works

For those of you with an exam in a day or 2, just make it 1 hour, 2 hours, 7 hours, 14 hours. If the exam is your next class, use minutes because most classes are an hour long If its the end of the class, and you have 3 minutes till you get to your next class, use seconds. if you in the class, you can also use seconds. If the exam is being passed out, pray!

There is actually a digital app for this. It's called Anki and I believe the PC version is free. The app is a flashcards/notecards tool where you can customize your cards in all sorts of ways, and of course, it has the feature discussed in this short. You learn a card, and it gives you various options on when you want to study it again. Every time you successfully memorize the card the delay time for when you have to do the card again goes up exponentially. But if you get it wrong, you start over. The app streamlines the process and helped me a lot for my finals.
