In the video I show you how to modify a Unity Asset Store model using Blender. I import a single doorway model from the Synty Studios Polygon Scifi City pack in to Blender. Using Blender we separate the door faces from the mesh, using the knife tool to cut the door in to 2 and parent them to the doorway. We then import them back in to Unity and create a new prefab to make the door usable.
With the modified Unity Asset Store model, we can then animate the separate left and right door meshes to make the door open and close.
