If the screw head is big enough, shouldn’t need the washers if you referring to the mounting on the back of the TV. Hope this helps!

Nice video, but why didn't you try to find the wall studs to see if you could get at least one wall stud in the mount? Just curious. Thanks!

Not sure about the guy in the video, but I’ve had bad experience with studs. In most apartments and condos, studs are made of metal and drilling a hole in metal is never comfortable. Plus, these screws can easily hold 100+ lb so I don’t even bother.

If an anchor hoods say 10lbs does that mean that 2 anchors will allow for a capacity of 20lbs?
@2MinuteHowTo
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah but I wouldn’t push it to the limits. In this video, the TV only weighed like 7-8 lbs total and I used 75lb anchors so it was way over done.

I have never used that type of anchor...did you use the screws that came with the mount or buy separate screws for the anchor? Thanks!
@LucDesormeaux

It's always better to use the screws that come with it. I made the mistake of using other screws once. They were a bit too big and the anchor stated spinning in the wall. It messed up that wall and rendered the anchor unusable. I had to mount a new one.

FYI....The anker's you are using state in the directions on the back of the packaging to NOT use them to mount TV's. These 75lbs ankers are for an item hanging down and lying on the wall from the screw. Once you add a force/lever out from the screw the anker no longer holds 75lbs and can/will fail.
@abdullahal-shimri3091

@@michaelschramm6426 well the mount is flat against the wall so it should be fine.

Never use drywall anchors or toggle bolts to hand a TV. If the studs don't align to where you need them, attach a piece of plywood to the studs and attach the mount to the plywood.
