Done over 35,000km across Canada, both coasts, Yukon, and most of the MABDR with these, mounted directly to the stock pannier racks of my 2011 BMW F800GS, with never any issues whatsoever, including some unplanned dirt naps onto them. I didn't even use the over-the-seat straps at all, but will try that next time, because the right side pannier rack's structure made that side hang a bit lower, and slightly came in towards the swing arm, and I suspect that with the extra straps in place, that'll bring that side a bit higher up.

Thanks for the video mate. Wondering if there is a removable insert bag for these to save taking the bags off over night? Cheers

The Mototrekks are already waterproof, so they don't come with removable dry bags, but our optional saddlebag dry pods would work for that if you're wanting to add that functionality: www.giantloopmoto.com/product/saddlebag-dry-pods/ Alternatively, you can just use the Pannier Mounts and take the whole bag off the bike quickly and easily. www.giantloopmoto.com/product/gl-pannier-mounts-motorcycle-soft-luggage/

I miss Ben. Dork in the Road is the only reason I know about GL in the first place.

Hey, good instructional video. I have one question: can i use these panniers on a honda cb500x with a givi pannierrack? What about the heat of the exhaust?
@GiantLoopMoto

Hello. You sure can, but the only problem is the Givi Rack, which have a non tubular section on the top part. That section doesn't allow our pannier mounts to attach. But with some customizations or a different rack, it would work.

Hi Ben, is there a good mounting solution with those bags (without using the quick release mount) onto a GSA style pannier rack where the rack's frame follows the contour of the exhaust vs a plain rectangular shape of those racks on the Tenere?

I had bought these with the quick release backing but they dont fit the KTM 390 Adventure panier racks. Is there a way to mount the bags to those racks? I was looking for fast ways to load and unload the bags and not deal with a load of straps. Didnt really like the looks of the Giant Loop Coyote Saddlebag Roll Top :(

Just got a set of these bags. In your video the silver buckles are open at the top and you slide them from the bottom up, on mine the silver buckles are open at the bottom and you slide them through the loop from the top down. Not sure if I received a bag with a manufacturer defect?

We've done manufacturing runs with them in both orientations. Functionality is the same in either direction. No defect ;)

Hi Ben was wondering if you can help with the dimension of the buckle straps for me to see if my generic Amazon rack for my T7 will work for these bag. Emailed GL got a reply from Tiffany but, gave me a full dimension of the bag and not the mounting buckle specs. which holds the bag into the rack. Thank you and have a good one.
