Already I can see I could hang with this guy. The plywood base instantly caught my eye and that is what I'm going to do for my Table saw AND WoodPecker Router Table. Unfortunately, I have already purchased the "PowerMag" but that's OK. I'll most likely use it anyway but for now, the plywood thing is going to happen. And use the block or layout pole to do any kind of setup, I do the very something. Whenever I can I try to eliminate measuring.

Enjoyed your video. It's a useful tool a power feeder which you can move. You mentioned about drilling holes in your table. I've a small one which I made a slotted mount for to bolt to various machine tables with drilled holes in lol. I like the magnets for the other applications you mentioned great idea, never seen them before. Tony

Hello, its a great video. Really helpful, I found it while considering buying one of these power feeder. I wanted to ask you what are the pros of buying one? Im considering, but its some money compared to what I can do by hand. Just wanted to know if you think its worth it?

I have a lot of pro's for this unit. I would recommend buying it from Amazon and buying the extended warranty. Here's the pro's 1. Helps end fatigue you have when milling, shoulder soreness etc 2. Helps make each cut uniform saving time and money on sanding and such. 3. The way I have it set up, I can easily set it up or store it away. 4 Way wayyyyyy better than jessem guides. 5. Helps you stay safe and your fingers are away from blade. 6. Easy to maintain 7. Very reliable machine I have yet to find a negative on this and I've had it for about 5 years.

I like it being portable. When you set up the rollers, do you have them pointed at a slight angle in to the fence?
@BandasPalette
2 жыл бұрын
You can, but the rollers do have some flex to them. I just make sure the feeders is feeding the material, so that it moves smoothly.

Yes, definitely. The power feeder head can be turned 360 degrees, so you can set it up in any orientation. Excuse my late reply, I try and answer all comments.

Why Did you use the mag 150s over the Mag switch 235s ? There is the potential for a lot of torque at the rollers and table contact points.
@BandasPalette

I used the 150's to save a little money. The f clamps are the actual ones doing the holding, the magswitches mainly help me get it into position. Been using this set up for a few years now, works great. 👍

It's a good thing that you backed up those small 155lb (not 150 lb, according to the manufacturer) capacity magswitches with some clamps, as they really can't be trusted by themselves to provide the necessary holding power for this particular application. But they're sure handy when doing the initial positioning of the feeder, aren't they? Thanks for sharing this idea with us.

Yeah, you're right. You know well, as a woodworker "better safe than sorry" 😁. Overbuild oversecure all things. Yes, they are gems in the workshop.

Of course the power feeder is more than 300. The magswitches are only about $30 a piece. No where near 300. Thanks!
