Being able to spend time sitting upright is a necessity for residents especially for quality of life. However, many will need help getting from the supine or laying position to sitting upright. In this video we will share that example on how two caregivers can work together to move a resident from supine to sitting. When helping a resident go from lying down to sitting up caregivers can put themselves in a very risky position. Indeed, there are some precautions to consider when performing this movement. This video will provide some clear direction for caregivers to use to avoid injuries when moving a resident from supine to sitting.
