Thank you for the lovely words! I'm so glad it was helpful! I hope your move goes as smooth as possible!

If you decide to move in winter, you have to make sure to finish before the end of the season and destroy all the abandonned houses, production building and crops fields. Otherwise you'll have way more to pay for taxes the next month since you have old and new building built at the same time. I did this mistake where I had only 2k taxes but because of the moving process I had to pay 4k the new year.

That is a GREAT tip! And absolutely true! Ouch though, that's a painful tax amount!

I would recommend starting the move right after you pay your taxes. I have 10 villagers with homes and work buildings and it took me an entire year of 5 day seasons literally finished in the middle of the night between the 4th and 5th day of winter and still need to run back to my old place and destroy the remaining buildings (about halfway through I had ran back and destroyed the now empty buildings) Although I did spend 2 days in spring trying to decide where I wanted my house, the main town square, and how I wanted to setup my village (couldn't decide between lining a town square with crafting buildings and an outer ring resource gathering buildings or 2 sides of town with different classes. Decided to intermix them for variety with starting production along the town but some room to expand is left in certain spots)

The tips are really good if you want to move. BUT isn't moving like super impractical? You have to build every single house and building again in another place. Better when you start a new game, make a save and just walk around the map to find a great spot and make sure there is plenty of space since you will need it and just build a village on the right place that lasts.

I completely agree! I wouldn't want to move, especially after having so many buildings down already. But some new players might have realized the mistake of their location once they start feeling out the game. Hahaha. Thank you so much though!!

When I tried moving my peoples they started getting upset rapidly even tho they had their same jobs and new housing

They might be upset because they were briefly homeless! Is the house exactly the same as the one they were living in? Insulation, decorations, etc? They'll be happy with time again, I'm sure!

@@survivalgameguide all are happy but two, in two separate houses.(I pre made the entire village jobs and all before I moved anyone then moved them all in 1 pause window)The houses are an upgrade from their previous conditions as I’m a generous god, just confused as to why they’re displeased. @@Dadahara Aww. Those two poor people! Do they have spouses or kids? That might affect their happiness compared to others. If everyone else has a family, and those two don't, then they're going to be a bit sadder than the others. But you are a generous god, yes! Hahaha.

@@Dadahara It can take a few seasons for them to have a baby! You can also check your Management Tab and look at your list of villagers to see if anyone is pregnant. They'll have a little green symbol in the shape of a pregnant woman to indicate that they're pregnant. But otherwise, it just takes time.

Destroy the old resource building last so you can put your materials from the tear downs into it too.

Correct! My mind definitely spaced on that. Hahaha. So, no need to move food from one to the other! All the more reason to build it right after the resource storage barn, I say!

So do I go to the new place then build the resource storage? Cause Im at the max build limit for my camp. I just started lol. But my max is 10 buildings
@survivalgameguide

Oof, you're at the max build limit? I would recommend completing some Chapter quests to increase your building limit first. Otherwise, you won't be able to build any new buildings. Or you can destroy one of your existing builds, then build the resource storage building in the new location. But either way, I'd recommend building the resource storage building first, so you can take your building resources right out of it. Just don't destroy your original resource storage building until you've finished building your new village!

why would you move rather than just build a new village there?
@survivalgameguide

You can totally do that, too! Some people might not want to manage two villages at once or run into problems with the building limit. So, they just move everything over to maintain the same number of buildings they have currently.
