This is excellent stuff! Yes, I know coaches always stress the importance of the split-step, but it really cannot be over-emphasised, it honestly does make a huge difference. We mix around with different partners during club sessions, so it’s easy to see the difference. I think some players get complacent, maybe playing weaker opposition, but that becomes a bad habit which continues when the level is raised again. And yes, I do find myself constantly saying/thinking “split…split” whatever the opposition, and kicking myself when I don’t, and miss my shot! Thanks for another brilliant video.

Great video! I think it's hard to read the game by learning like it's not like learning to hit shots. I mean for me reading the game comes more from experience than practicing theoretically or with drill or exercises. But of course you can get tips on how to read the game and how to anticipate but for me the bulk of it comes from just playing games against a variety of players both good, bad and great players. Although one tip I got which helped me a lot about reading shots or anticipate what type of shot the opponent is about to hit was looking at the player and how he prepared the racket and stance. Might sound self written thing to do but I think most people just watch the ball when playing.

Can we get some videos on footwork for playing off the glass? I come from tennis and keep setting my feet down too early (before the glass hit) and get stuck where I am

You could place it outside of the court on the half that you're playing in 👍
