Can I just take a moment to acknowledge that Stephanie’s husband told her he wanted a divorce one month after having their baby and had been having an affair while she was pregnant with his child? The level of trauma, lack of character on his part, and betrayal there is beyond words. It’s ok to be angry under those circumstances...regardless of any of her faults. What an example she is of how to overcome such circumstances and to help others through these situations.

My husbands been having a 10 month affair and has been saying he wants a divorce since March. During this rollercoaster, he has "come back" 3 times. This is the third time he has told me he is done with our marriage. I have given him one more chance as I fight for my family and tonight we are having that final conversation. This conversation came at the PERFECT time. I am sure I will be listening to it again and again. Thank you both.

you deserve better than being with somebody who doesn't value you. There is somebody out there who will love you the way you want to be loved. If you find a way to patch it up now you'll find yourself just delaying the inevitable. Live your life now seek your own happiness and healing now do not wait. or you'll just wake up in 5 or 10 years from now most likely getting divorced anyways.

There are a lot of apps and online groups you can try to join. Some places have online classes to join. While you're in lockdown think about how to craft the life you want. What do you want to do or learn? Once the lockdown restrictions lift think about what hobbies you want? Then go and join a local class, e.g. sport or art.

I am 58 years old I waited till I was 46 before I got married. I thought I'd found the woman of my dreams someone I could grow old with. we found a house that we could call our own, her dream house. at 57 I retired from my job after 31 years of service. my father becomes really sick and passes away. and after 62 years of marriage my mom is all but giving up. then my wife tells me she is no longer in love and leaves. all of this happens within a year. surprisingly I'm doing well it was very rough at first. but now I have had time to think things and process them more clearly. I still have a long ways to go though.

My mother has it. It's impossible. I have so much love and respect for those who work on it and try to be okay or not succumb to the symptoms of the disorder even when still "acting out" because they acknowledge it and accept help from doctors and loved ones. With my mother, she doesn't accept it or her behaviour. Everything is someone else's fault (if there's no denying what she's done). She's a sweet person in general, to others, but is downright cruel when splitting, feeling judged, or believing she's hated by someone. I grew up wealthy but being deprived of basics by her while I loved her but she thought I didn't and wouldn't, so she'd withhold basics from me - why give if she can't get? She started doing for others thinking shell get love, praise, or respect. No one but one sibling knew and thus sibling always stood by me when we were in the same household, which we haven't been for years. I went to boarding school then left; he went to pursue a graduate degree. I am an optimist, but with someone who has BPD, if they don't want to try, whether from embarrassment, not finding help, wanting to blame, choosing to stay with those who don't question or know of their behaviour and ignoring or being mean to the others, I do think It's impossible. There's nothing to do. Whatever I choose will be wrong and she'll feel hated, judged or go into a breakdown or verbal or physical rage. So I pick what's more kind to myself, without doing anything actually unkind to her, because anything I do or don't do to keep her okay never works. I read the walking on eggshells book and it helped a bit, if only to validate my experience. But in my opinion, it's the person with borderline personality disorder who needs to choose to change and I think it takes many years, possibly a lifetime. For me, I choose quiet, solitude, and compassion. To a point. I've had to run to call the police on her twice when I thought my life was in danger and I avoided her going on a 72 hour hold which her doctor suggested, but no one forced, as she was supposed to see an excellent psychiatrist I was able to get for her - from my own excellent psychologist I was seeing twice a week - the next day. She refused to go. I went instead. It saved me.

If you are with a BPD ....RUN.....they won’t get any better unless or until they have YEARS of therapy...10-15 at least.. most will not elect therapy and even if they do, they won’t engage in it..their lives are a living hell and you will be dragged down with the ship. It will ruin you, mentally and physically...Get out while you can ..go no contact to save your own life!

Women who dress in a sexy way evoke men to fantasize about them. I know from deeply hurtful experiences with the men throughout my life. Women need to draw attention to their faces, not body parts. My hurt is real and sad and I am letting women know that this is rampant in our society. God wants us to not cause another to fall. How we dress as women can cause a man to lust. Believe what you will. My hurt is as real as anyone else's, so don't judge my feelings. I will not take advise from a woman who contributes to the shattering issues of my life. It is something to think over when you dress. The choice is yours. I will not purpose to be responsible for a man to fall into lustful thoughts. If interested, read your Bible and see for yourself what Jesus says on this subject. I choose to follow Jesus and I hope you will, too.

@@thedifferentdna915 I am glad that you do not have the pain of experiencing betrayal and infidelity by significant men on your life like I do. Father, brothers, boyfriends, husbands and husbands of friends have watched porn, committed adultery, and ruined many families. I feel deep pain from the effects and it is a long journey through forgiveness and recovery. Perhaps you and others would pray for me. It is a lonely place to know that I cannot trust any man in my life fully. Women can look classy and stylish without being eye catchers for men. Many men have a secret life of porn addiction. It is my point to say as women, we have the responsibility to dress to accentuate our faces so we don't cause men to stumble and fall into lustful thoughts.
