Great video. Thank you!! The vet I had gotten my FAVN test from wanted us to pay them extra for the work THEY had to do which they made it harder for themselves making it look like they were the ones who had to deal with sending in all the papers and whatnot. It was really stupid. Got the FAVN results from them and my doggie is passed on the microchip search. With your confirmation video everything will be a breeze without that dumb extra bill they wanted us to pay. Thank you again

Thank you so much for this!! I kept getting so much conflicting information from vets, personal experience, and interpreting the checklist timeline. Someone was saying I needed to send the FAVN test results 30 days before arrival. But I think Oahu only needs 14 days, and the 30 day is for the other islands that need a permit.

My dog is old and the vet refused a rabies vaccine. We are in Japan which is also rabies free (but whatever). The on base doc sent in the Fav test. I can’t allow him to sit in quarantine.

When I moved to Hawaii. I did not have a pet because The dog Koda I had while I was living in Colorado was not a good fit for me since he would growl a lot at me and he was like a herd dog so we ending up giving him to my speech teacher at Dakota Elementary school which I had attending when I was living in Colorado. But I definitely took Henry with me when I had moved out of Hawaii in June 2009 with my parents.

Omg ur crazy so funny with the pants/dress thing. Lolll I have question. Omg so I did the Titer and everything. Almost ready to send it however he was microchip during the rabies shot 2 months ago. The first rabies is done without any microchip #. Total he’s had 2. Does it have to be under the same microchip #?? Omg so much work!!!!

Michaela, it’s okay to send the original-signed Rabies and import form without the money order and health certificate? Just want to make sure before I do that lol. If so I’ll also just put a note that we will pay upon arrival in there. And then keep the health certificate with me on myself. Yeah? 😅 I’m so nervous. My husband is already over there because his job made him so I’ve been waiting for my kitty’s 30 days to be up from Rabies #2 and a successful FAVN (which we got word the other day, yay!). Also how do you get the physical copy of the FAVN result? Thank youuu!

Yes we paid when we arrived to pick up our dog. I believe I wrote on a posted note and stuck it to the forms to mail in. The health certificate is for the airlines if I remember. They may have you attach the certificate to the crate. I also kept a second one on me. The FAVN result you can ask your vet for a paper copy. Check out the links in below my video there’s one called quarantine microchip. You can look up your animals result by looking up their microchip number. That pdf document is automatically sent to Hawaii so they will have your animals results in their end. There’s also a link for a checklist guide that gives your directions on the steps to get all this done! Hope this helps and best of luck!
