just as a tip- I listened to so many of these videos before I flew for the first time, I checked in online and only had carry on luggage, so I skipped the check in counter but while boarding they needed a physical copy of my boarding pass and they told me I had to check in at the desk even if I checked in online because I was going from uk to Australia lol and they were all super mad at me so I recommend double checking especially if you don't live in the us or if its a super long flight

So I'm taking a cross country flight next month that is going to be roughly four and a half hours. It's not the first flight that I've ever taken, but it is the first one that I've taken in about fourteen years, so I'm a bit lost. I've read that neck pillows don't count as your carry on or personal item. Is this accurate? Also, can you take a neck pillow and a lumbar pillow? I have pretty severe chronic pain and understand that flying in the main cabin (not sure if this is any different from economy) isn't the most comfortable, even for healthy people. If need be, would getting a note from my doctor help make things easier? I'm taking a Delta flight for reference.
@buildyourmoxie
3 ай бұрын
Hi Ben! Some airlines are different. Some want you to have your pillow inside your personal item or carry on. If you have the puffy ring one and can’t fit it inside your personal item or carry on, I recommend just wearing it on your neck as you pass the boarding people to get on the plane. I’ve never seen anyone tell a passenger to take it off. You just have to pass the people that scan your boarding ticket then you can take it off your neck lol. It’s very common for people to bring pillows but I always take the extra step to wear it just in case the scanning people are in a mood lol. Sometimes you can hook it onto your luggage handle but I’ve seen some airlines tell you to put it in your bags hence that’s why you can wear it. I use the trtl pillow because it’s very small. amzn.to/45eotba Also I recommend using a sweatshirt for lumbar pillow. And sometimes international flights will provide one. Here is a video I think will help you kzitem.info/news/bejne/t2-Ps5d9qIObjawsi=bqidLn6r-7cmDdLc

I'd definitely take OFF the watch. Or better, just don't put it on at all till after security, just pack it in your Carry-On. Same with your belt, don't bother putting that on till after security. And don't have anything, anything in your pockets, not even a tissue, nothing. Also try not and wear any clothes with metal on them if possible. Jeans should be ok, lots of people wear jeans so i assume they calibrate for that. Is it alot of body piercing? If it's alot it might set off the machines, but since you said your mom has an implant , you guys will probably be pat down anyway, maybe. Your gonna have to inform them of the medical device right away.

Oo for security? Braided hair can look thick. So they might squeeze the braid to make sure people aren’t sneaking in a weapon in their hair :)

I agree with this!! 🔥When I pack too early, I end up needing a lot of the stuff I am packing 😁. But some travel stuff that I only use for that purpose I’ll stick it in a corner of the room so I don’t forget 😝

Is it okay to bring cigarettes with you?
@buildyourmoxie
Ай бұрын
You can bring cigarettes but they may not allow lighters. Some airports allow a small one but most don’t! Vaping has to be on your carry on but you can’t use on the plane or any kind of smoking or else you could get charged $$$$$ from fees
